12 Girls, 2 Coaches, 1 Team, 1 Dream
My sister's high school basketball team got a new coach this year. The girls decided on a team motto - ACE attitude changes everything. Well the ACEs (as they call themselves) decided on a goal. There were going to make it back to the state tournament.
They had a fairly successful regular season, only losing two games. At districts, they upset the first place Pilot Rock Rockets to take the district title! Pilot Rock had already beat my sister's team three times this season. Their double overtime district win was one of the best games I had ever seen!
This win gave the ACEs the number three seed going into the state tournament. A win this past weekend means they are top eight in the state! The tournament starts tomorrow and I cannot wait to watch! Go number 4 and go ACEs! :D
What a terrific motto. They're so right, too, about how attitude changes everything. I just was able to have a chat with a kiddo today about that! Good luck to them this weekend!
